Carter was born January 5, 1934, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, to Harold Thomas Carter, father, and Mary Lena Carter, mother. Harold J. Carter is preceded in death by both parents and his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Carter. He leaves his legacy to seven children, Harold Shannon Carter, Charles Ray Carter, Sonya Yvette Lott, Isadore Nolan Carter, Pamela Jordan Carter, Alex Cornelius Modest, and Elizabeth Selena Martin, 27 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. A Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 5:00-7:00pm, at Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N. 2nd St., Yakima, WA 98901).
