Anna Delila Long Obituary (2023)

We are sad to announce that Anna Delila Long passed away unexpectedly, on October 12, 2023. Anna was born at St. Elizabeth Hospital, in Yakima, Washington, on April 3, 1946, and was raised in Parker, Washington, graduating from Wapato High School. She retired from Qwest Communications, as a commercial accounts manager, a career she loved. Her life was dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always put them first and was devoted to making sure they were cared for. Anna had a passion for going on road trips and was an avid "foodie," often traveling around the Pacific Northwest with Ramon, her partner of 31 years, to find the best food at smaller locally owned establishments. She was the type of person that wanted to meet the chef or the owner if she loved the food. She survived by her partner, Ramon Nostrant, her three children, Tonya Sjolin, Michelle Chinnick, and Eric Long, her grandchildren, Majlinda Owens, Gabrielle Adams, Ethan Tucey, Nadia Tucey, and Kira Long, her great-grandchildren, Jackson Sjolin, Delacey Sjolin, Bentley Sjolin, and Bryton Root, and her brother, Vernon Armstrong. She joins her parents, Aaron and Marjorie Armstrong, brother, Dale Armstrong, sister, Thelma Burns, and grandchild, Michael Sjolin, in Heaven. She will be missed by all that knew her. A Viewing will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 11:00am-1:30pm, at Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA), with a Funeral Service at 1:30pm.
