Barbara Ellen Thrasher

Barbara Vanderpool passed away the morning of October 21, 2026. She fought a short battle with Dementia with Lewy Body, Parkinsonism and she suffered one final stroke. She is no longer suffering.

Barb was born in Randle Washington on July 16, 1942 to Lancie and Eleanor (Greer) Vanderpool. She was the baby of the family. She was proceeded in death by her brother, Chester (Chet) Vanderpool and her sisters, Hazel McGilvery, and Jeanette Nickerson.

Barb married Ronald Dodrill in June of 1962. They had three children. Patrick John (deceased), Ronda Kay and Jeffrey Lance.

Barb was a meatcutter and worked in an all-female meat department at Mayfair and Gary’s Red Apple. She loved doing her job and going out on Friday and Saturday nights with her close friends Judy Maine, Pearl Aguirre and Pam Larson. They spent plenty of time at the Quiet Lounge at the Holiday Inn and the Barn Door in Centralia. Mom loved her margaritas up until the day she died!

Barb Married Al Miller and they had some wonderful years together, traveling and enjoying rides on his Motorcycle.

After Barb lost Al, Al’s kids, Kandi, Debbie and Jay introduced her to Jim Thrasher. They met that night and married soon after. Jim passed away in November of 2024.

Barb is survived by her Sister-in-Law Debra (Geofrey) Harrison, and by her children, Ronda (Dennis) Murphy and Jeff (Allison) Dodrill. She has three Grandchildren, Brian Murphy (Sheri), Tanner Dodrill and Emily Dodrill. She has three Great Grandkids, Kenzie Murphy, Logan Murphy and Shepard Dodrill.

She leaves behind many, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, close family friends and extended families.
