Bernice Wanna Wilson Obituary (2024)

Bernice Wilson, loving wife and mother, of Yakima, Washington, died on December 14, 2024. She was 87 years old. Bernice was born to Harlan and Virginia Shelton, of Wenatchee, Washington. She graduated from Upper Columbia Academy, in Spangle, Washington, in 1956. During that time, she met the love of her life, Ron Wilson. Following high school, she attended Walla Walla College, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing and certification as a registered nurse (RN) in 1960. During her college years, she and Ron were married on August 30, 1959. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Bernice was a woman of great faith who loved the Lord. Bernice and Ron raised their three children in the Wapato area. Her greatest joy was her family and her grandchildren. She was privileged to welcome four great-grandchildren into the family as well. Bernice loved identifying wildflowers, playing the piano, singing and caring for her family. Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and two grandsons. She is survived by her husband, Ron of Yakima, WA, her daughter, Pam (Jim) West, of South Lyon, MI, daughter, Carmel (Jim) Fuehrer of Wapato, WA and her son, Kirk (Becky) Wilson of Yakima, WA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. To celebrate her life, a private memorial service was held in her honor to celebrate her amazing life.
