Carla M. Dramer

–

Yakima, Washington

Carla Marie Dramer, was born as Carla Marie Chaplin on May 30, 1956, to Marcelle and Robert Chaplin, at Prosser Hospital.

She passed form this earth on July 25, 2022, to live under the direct care of Jesus Christ, our Savior. She was 66, and died suddenly, without warning, of heart failure on the way to the hospital, to the devastation of the ones who loved her.

She was married in 1992 to Wayne Dramer, and is survived and loved by her husband, her mother, Marcelle Easley, brother, Bruce Chaplin, stepchildren, Dustin Dramer and Tessa Dramer, and her grandchildren, Chrissy, Alex, Robby, Devon and Maddie. Also, sister-in-law and husband, Denise and Larry Jenkins, brother-in-law and wife, John and Kim Casch, sister-in-law and husband, Jean and Dave Erickson, sister-in-law and husband, Natalie and John Hauschild. She also had cousins and aunts she was close to. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Chaplin, in 1994.

She graduated with honors from Davis High in 1974 and worked as a bookkeeper for Yakima Fruit after high school for several years. She then started work at Western Materials in August 1977, for almost 45 years, doing bookkeeping and administrative assistance work, until the day she passed.

Carla has deep faith in Jesus Christ our Savior, was a member of Harvest Community Church in Selah, loved her church and church family, and volunteered her services often, and enjoyed being part of "The Body of Christ".

Carla loved her family and her Sheltie dogs. She was a "Harley Chick" for a lot of years (teased because she was never a "chick" always a lady), enjoying riding with friends and going to events that involved motorcycles. She enjoyed several ocean cruises and traveling to Mexico on vacations. After those years she settled on quiet time with reading and spoiling her dogs. Her dogs will miss her sweet nature as much as we will.

We will be honoring, remembering, grieving and celebrating her humble and kind nature and the impact she had on many lives, on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:00am at Terrace Heights Memorial Park for a Graveside Service (3001 Terrace Heights Drive). Please go to the main entrance and they will have signs pointing to the gravesite. Immediately following the service, we will have a Celebration of Life at the Gardenview Room at the Arboretum (1401 Arboretum Drive, Yakima), for sandwiches and snacks, with many pictures of her with her dogs, and grandchildren, etc.

Carla loved supporting her chosen charities, and she would be honored if anyone who has Jesus move you to give generously to any of these in lieu of flowers, Make a Wish, Pegasus Project, Camp Primetime, Best Friends, Rods House, or any well run nonprofit that benefits children and/or animals. Donations made to these organizations may be sent in care of Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA 98901), who is caring for the family. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.shawandsons.com.

I hope, pray and think that Jesus would say, "well done my good and faithful servant." Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants."
