Donald Zike

Angels guided Donald R. Zike to join his beloved wife, father, and mother on August 6, 2014. Don was born on October 29, 1934 in Cement, OK to Everett and Opal Zike.
He lived and worked in California and Washington before settling in Yakima, WA.
Don was an entrepreneur who was an extremely talented machinist and a brilliant machine designer. He loved dancing to country music and would sing and play his guitar at family gatherings. Hunting, fishing, boating and camping were his favorite activities. He looked forward to those outings every year with family and friends.
Don, who was the patriarch of the Zike family, will be greatly missed by his children Ron, Curt, Donna, Terry, Steve, Brett, Mike, Michelle, Dave and all their families including 23 grandchildren and a growing number of great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Don's family in care of Shaw & Sons Funeral Directors, 201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA 98901.
A graveside service will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Tahoma Cemetery
