Franklin Richard Young

Franklin Richard Young, 86, of Wenas Valley, WA passed away on August 14, 2019. "Frank" was born on Feb. 9, 1933 in Ione, WA. He grew up in Selah where he met the love of his life, Geneva Burkhart, and married her on Sept. 20, 1949. They moved to the Wenas Valley and spent almost 70 years of a wonderful life together.

Frank is survived by his wife, Geneva, and children Michael (Susan), Janet Rickman (Jim), and Judy Young-McCabe, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, brother Bud (Jean), sisters Carol and Janice, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother Alice, son Bobby, grandson Michael "Mikey" Jr., and sisters Madeline, Florice, Leila, and Ethel.

Frank carried many names, son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was an amazing man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed his gardens of vegetables and fruits as well as his various fruit and nut trees. He often worked on projects in his wood shop. He will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.
