Freddie Lee Green

On August 7, 2022, Heavens door opened and ushered in His faithful servant, Freddie Lee Green. Dad was born May 14, 1932, in Omak, Washington, to Ernest C. Green and Martha May Green. He grew up in Yakima as a boy.

In June 1951 he married the love of his life, Darlene, and celebrated 71 years of marriage in June this year. From this union they had four daughters. Dad and Mom left Yakima and went to Kirkland, Washington so dad could go to Northwest Bible College to become a minister. Dad pastored several churches in his 50 years of ministry. Most notably, Gleed Valley Assembly of God, where three of his daughters were married. Many friendships and memories were made at Gleed Valley, and still remain today. Our dad didnt know a stranger and shared his love for Jesus by word of mouth and singing a song to them. It didnt matter to dad if he was in church, or the doctors office, or the place he lived, he had a song for you.

Dad was also a jokester and loved to share his new joke with anyone that would listen. Even though Dad couldnt minister anymore from a pulpit, it still didnt stop him from sharing his faith and a song with all that would listen. Our dad is gone, but not forgotten. He was a great man, who loved God and loved people.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene, daughters, Cheryl (Rev. Greg), Treasa (Jim), Kathy (Mike), Vicki (Richard), 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and one very special granddaughter, whom he loved very much.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Terrace Heights Memorial Park at 1:00pm.

A special thank you to Landmark Care Center for your loving care to our dad. Dad couldnt have been in better hands! Thank you to all the nursing staff, and Julie, his nurse practitioner, who took special care of Dad.
