Gwendolyn Noel Obituary (2024)

Gwendolyn "Gwen" Louise Noel was born on October 10, 1947, in Yakima, Washington, to Homer and Ada Watt. She had one brother, George, and four sisters, Marie, Alice, Betty, and Tippy. She enjoyed riding horses, she was a seamstress, she made western shirts for shows. She also made beautiful drawings and calligraphy. She raised three boys, Brad, Doug, and Jim. She married Paul Noel on September 5, 1998, in Coeur d Alene, Idaho. With this marriage she gained four adult children. As a family, they enjoyed the beach, camping, hiking, taking long road trips, and gardening. Gwen and Paul doted on the six grandchildren by taking them to Mt. Rainier on picnics and hikes. She especially doted on her great-grandsons and was looking forward to her first great-granddaughter. In later years, she enjoyed art and whittling walking sticks with Paul, for the whole family. She is preceded in death by all her siblings and her parents, as well as by her granddaughter, Vanessa McWain and her stepdaughter, Stephanie Noel. She is survived by her husband, Paul Noel, her sons, Brad McCollum, Doug McCollum, Jim McCollum (Serena), stepson, Kenneth Noel, stepdaughter, Tamara (Mark) Chance, and stepdaughter, Kimberly (Allen) McWain.
