Yakima, Washington
Our loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Gigi passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Yakima, WA surrounded by her loved ones. Sue was born on July 15, 1941, in Ava Missouri to Lonnie and Mildred Solomon. At the age of one she moved to Selah, WA with her family where she attended school and at the age of 12 met her soulmate. On April 18, 1959, in Yakima, WA. she married that soulmate and the love of her life Johnny Russell Scribner. The couple lived in several different areas throughout their marriage, including Selah, WA, Naches, WA, White Salmon, WA, and Auburn, WA.
In the year 1959, they welcomed their first son Jimmy Ray into the world, following that in 1961 they welcomed their daughter Teresa Lavonne and then their 2nd son in 1963 Allen Troy.
Sue was an amazing wife and mother. She took pride in staying home and making sure her husband and children were cared for. Not only did she care for her own children, but she ran her own in-home daycare caring for up to 20 other children. She always welcomed anyone and everyone into her home and made them all feel like part of the family.
She had so many characteristics about her that were amazing. The way she listened, gave advice, cared, nurtured, and loved were only a few. Along with her personality and jokes (her mouse tattoo joke) she was all around PERFECT.
Some of the things Sue enjoyed the most were dancing, going to the casino taking her grandchildren to Silverwood, Northwest Trek and Camping. She loved the Ford Bronco and 4-wheeling with all her friends. She loved spending time with her family, her Tree Top family, and extended family and friends. There are too many to list but just know she loved each and every one of you dearly.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Mildred Solomon, her three brothers Lyman, Lurman and Ivan and her three precious children Jim, Teresa and Troy. She is survived by her husband of 63 years John Scribner, her daughter in law Cindy Scribner, her grandchildren James (December) Scribner, Nichole (Travis) Bonham, Tyler (Brittany) Scribner, SueElynn Scribner and Cody Scribner, her great grandchildren Quinn, Azlyn, Averi, Kimber, JJ and Freya, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. We love your bones!!! She will be deeply missed by so many. She is now with all three of her children flying with the angels.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
