Janice Mary Murphy Obituary (1952 - 2026)

Janice M. Murphy, of Yakima, Washington, died unexpectedly at Multi-Care Yakima Valley Hospital on July 8, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on July 9, 1952, in Dorchester, MA, the daughter of Thomas E. and Barbara A. (Coughlin) Dickerson. Janice was a 1970 graduate of Braintree High School. She was also a proud graduate of Catherine Laboure’ School of Nursing in 1973. Janice was pre-deceased by her parents, and, most recently, by her brother, Thomas Dickerson. Janice is survived by her two adult children, Jason T. O’Sullivan, of Hanson, MA and Michael S. Valenzuela, of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by her three sisters, Eveleen Barcomb of Goffstown, NH, Barbara Wright of No. Easton, MA, and Michele Owens and her husband, Michael, of Braintree, MA. In addition, Janice is also survived by her aunt Evelyn Pirozzi of Salisbury, MA, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service is being planned for a future date.
