Jerrine Gail Dumas Obituary (1946

Jerrine (Jeri) Dumas age 71 passed away on September 26, 2018 at Cottage in the Meadow Yakima, WA. She was born November 16, 1946 in Bend, OR to John and Ruth Ellifritz. She completed her high school education at Eastmont High School in 1965 and got her degree from Wenatchee Valley College in 1967. On May 18, 1968 she married Ron Dumas. Together they had three children; Gregg (Tracie) Dumas, Jody Dumas, and Shelley (Kirk) Pickett. Jeri enjoyed family get-togethers, her children and grandchildren; Samantha, David, Joseph, Autumn, Joshua, Hailey, Makinzie, Brooke, and Colton, were the most important things to her in the world. She also had 4 great-grandchildren Tenley, Ava, Myla, and Lilly. She was the first to offer to help, and the last to ask for it. Her job as an LPN was very important to her up to the very last day. She was working full-time still and was focused on getting better to be able to return to work. She enjoyed outdoor activities, and would take off and go for a drive at anytime, any direction, always up for an adventure. Jeri purchased a Polaris Slingshot at 70 years old and was looking forward to many road trips in it. Her time spent with her grandchildren at dance recitals, games, and school activities was very important to her as well. In her lifetime Jeri moved over 50 times but settled in Yakima living there for 46 years. Services will be held at Shaw & Sons Funeral Home 201 N 2nd St, Yakima, WA 98901 on Friday October 5, 2018 at 11am with interment immediately following at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
