Jess Barrioquinto Ygona Obituary (2024)

Jess Barrioquinto Ygona was born in Alegria, Cebu Philippines on June 4, 1948. He immigrated to the USA with his siblings in 1982. He is survived by his loving wife Concepcion "Marian" Gabiana Ygona and their only son George Ygona, and his siblings Luz Ygona Pettiford, Ronaldo Ygona and his wife Marianas,Virginia Ygona Laurino and her husband Manuel, Oscar Ygona , Emma Ygona-Parrish and her husband Ken, Loreta Ygona Singco and her husband Hans and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded by the death of his parents Fernando and Concepcion Ygona, his brother Bonifacio, and sister in law Marciana, his sister Nenita, sister in law Lilia and niece Rosa. He graduated from the University of Visayas with the Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Jess worked at DSHS until his retirement. Jess was a devoted husband, father to his son a thoughtful brother and uncle. He was a devoted Roman Catholic and he had a great devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary. He passed away at home on November 2, 2024, All Souls Day a day to remember the dead, in our Catholic faith. Death is our entrance to Eternal Life.
