Laretta Hampton

Laretta Hampton, 67, of Yakima died July 26, 2009 at Yakima Regional Medical Center. She was born May 16, 1942 in Marion County, AR to Warren & Juanita Tolliver. Larretta married Kenneth L. Hampton on November 2, 1972 in Summit, AR and together they raised 6 children. For many years Laretta was a caregiver for the Senior Chore Services. She was an avid Mariners fan and loved to garden. Another one of her great joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren or going to the mountains with Kenneth, gathering together with family and going to the casino. Laretta is survived by her husband of 36 years, Kenneth L. Hampton of Yakima, WA; three sons, Randy Bennett of Pennsylvania, Hershel and Heidi Wood of Tacoma, WA, Kenneth "Bimbo" and Tammy Hampton of Cowiche, WA; three daughters, Debra Trickler of Olympia, WA, Tamara and Kenneth Tilley of Zillah, WA, and Tina and David Wilkinson of Cowiche, WA; three brothers, Ervin Tolliver of Texas, Warren Tolliver of Vancouver, WA and Thomas Tolliver of Arkansas; two sisters, Marilyn Dover of Oregon and Carolyn Lawson of Arkansas; and eleven grandchildren, James, Jody, Jacob, Richie, Nikole, Ashley, Zachary, Lindsey, Kassie, Kenny and Heather. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Howard Clark Wood, sister, Glinda Dover and one grandson, Trevor.
