Lois Eileen Green Obituary (2025)

Lois Eileen Green, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at Landmark Care Center, in Yakima, Washington. Lois was born on February 7, 1932, in Casselton, North Dakota, the daughter of Victor and Alice Bush. Lois worked for the U.S. Postal Service and retired on January 3, 1995, after 39 years of service. Lois loved the Lord and was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Selah, Washington. Lois lived a full life! She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to travel back to her hometown in North Dakota to visit with her siblings. She was an avid gardener, caring for her roses, and always planted a colorful variety of new flowers each year. She also enjoyed quilting with her many friends at her church. She was truly a remarkable woman. May you rest in peace, Mom, we love and cherish you. Lois is survived by her six children, Scott (Donna) Evans, Terry (Mark) Mills, Christie (Randy) Treddenbarger, Becky Neuman, Lisa (Dave) Maher-Berthon, and Joni (Wayne) Hampson, 11 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren, brother, Donnie Bush, and longtime friend, Caroline Parks. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Green, parents, Victor and Alice, siblings, Dorothy, Betty, Helen, Loyd, and Evelyn, son-in-laws, Ron Neuman, and John Maher, and granddaughter, Staci Evans. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00am, at the Peace Lutheran Church, in Selah, Washington. A Reception will follow at Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima WA 98901). Shaw & Sons Funeral Home is caring for the family.
