Pet Legacies Remembrance Obituary (2016)

Please join us at Shaw & Son's for Pet Legacies Remembering Your Pet Event for the entire family. This gathering is designed for adults and children as the loss of a pet is an important event in all our lives. Children's special loss issues and resources will be addressed in all the activities and the information offered. Anyone who has loved and lost a pet is invited to attend this FREE evening. The event is divided into short time periods to make it easier to hold a child's attention and to allow short breaks. When you arrive at 5:30-6:00pm you have this time to light a candle of remembrance of your pet if desired. At 6pm-6:15pm Shaw & Son's Grief facilitator Andrew Fleming presents practical information to help you work through the sorrow of losing a pet. Right after this will be the Pet Memories video of all our treasured friends we have lost. Around 6:30pm you have the opportunity to create a memory bracelet or a Forever a Beautiful Star ornament. Other crafts for children will be available as well. And we will have refreshments to enjoy at your leisure.
