Robin Lee Emerson

Robert Lee Emerson, 63, of Yakima, died Saturday, December 23, 2017, in Seattle's Virginia Mason Hospital after a long illness.
Bob was born October 13, 1954, in Bremerton, WA. He was raised in Yakima.
In his young adult years Bob lived in the Shelton, WA area with his wife and two children. Bob was a licensed surveyor and after many years of work he formed his own surveying company he called Benchmark.
After an early retirement, he returned to Yakima where he had been living for many years.
Bob liked watching sports on the television. The Seahawks were his favorite football team. His hobby was working crossword puzzles. He was known to work a few nearly every day.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Rupert Emerson, and his brother, James.
He is survived by his mom, Georgia B. Geer, of Yakima, one son, Anthony, one daughter, Brandi, and five grandchildren: Chaz, Anthony Junior, Aden, Zachary and Faith, all of Yakima, two sisters, Sheryl Emerson of Yakima and Debbie Sauer of Spokane, and by his mother-in-law, Barbara Rupert who loved him like a son.
Bob was much loved and will be missed. By his own wishes, Bob was cremated. There was no memorial service. Our Father in Heaven has taken him home.
