Ronald Eugene Hutchens Obituary (2024)

Ron Hutchens, 75, of Yakima, Washington passed away on October 24, 2024, at Multi Care Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington. Ron was born January 24, 1949 in Yakima, Washington where he resided all of his life. Ron attended Eisenhower High School. Ron worked at various jobs including Yakima Creamery, Snyders Bakery as a baker, and Yakima Manufacturing. He retired after 30 years of being owner/operator of RnR Fencing. He enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, jigsaw puzzles, reading, ice cream, music, games, watching the Mariners and Seahawks, visiting Yuma, Arizona during the winters, and long drives in the mountains. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Dorothy Hutchens, by his paternal and maternal grandparents, and by brother-in-laws Ron Pendleton and Doug Pendleton. Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Glenda Hutchens; children, Randy (Kim) Hutchens and Debbie (Alvie) Maxey; grandchildren, Chris (Shantel) Hutchens, Casey Hutchens, Kylie (Josh) Hernandez, Ryan (Robin) Maxey, Erik (Monica) Maxey, and Lisa Maxey; great grandchildren, Ryler, Tryg, Colby, Jordan, Mason, Kassie, Eleah, Sofia, and Wyatt; sister, Sharon Thomsen; nephew, Brian Mitchell; and numerous cousins and friends. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Community Alliance Church, 14890 Tieton Drive, Yakima, Washington 98908.
