Sherry Kay Romero Obituary (2025)

It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sherry Kay Romero. She was born to Francis and Valerie Romero on January 5, 1969, in Yakima, Washington and passed on October 3, 2025, in Yakima, Washington. Our mother was truly one of a kind. She never met a stranger and if you were in her circle, you were her family. She loved her children, grandchildren and Todd with all of her heart. And let's not forget the love of her Camaros. I believe she had four of them and also her tire shop. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Valerie Romero, her son, Gene; brothers, Ronnie and Donnie; sisters, Kay and Renee, niece, Jeselle and nephew, Cody. She is survived by her daughters, Leina (Lenny) Romero, Monica (Mauricio) Alvarez, son, Alex (Rose) Rios and eight, Grandkids Anissa Infante, Nathaniel Infante, Gene Alvarez, Amish Rios, Alijah Infante, Aiyana Infante, Valerie Rios, Violet Rios and one due in December; sisters, Deana (Bruce) Nunn, Vicki Romero and brother Paul Romero. A Private Family Viewing will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Shaw and Son's Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at Shaw and Son's Funeral Home with a reception at the American Legion Hall, 1120 N 34th Ave, Yakima, WA 98902.
