Shirley Fredericksen

Shirley Pearle Frederiksen, 89, of Yakima, died November 11, 2014, at Cottage in the Meadow, Yakima. Shirley was born August 28, 1925, in Southfield, Michigan, to Sinclair and Pearle (Beddoe) Chissus. Mom grew up on Mercer Island, Washington, with her 10 siblings. She attended Moxee High School. She loved quilting, champing and any family event. She later married the love of her life, Horace, and joined him at his Kelgore, Idaho ranch. They spent their winters in Arizona.
Shirley's surviving family includes her daughters: Linda (Darrell) Smith, and Laura (Daryl) Robins; sisters: Janet Peterson and Jean O'Conner; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Horace; her parents, her brothers Paul, Don, Al, Ed, David, Walter, and Dick Chissus, and her sister Beth Potoshnik.

Shirley's family extends a special "Thanks" to Hospice, Cottage in the Meadow, and the friends she met at Rexford Manor.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the annual family reunion.
