Yakima, Washington
Teresa Colleen Farren, age 74, born June 12, 1952, and died suddenly on October 9, 2026. Teresa was born in Yakima, to Ernest Raymond Farren and Maxine Irene Farren.
She lived in Yakima her whole life. Teresa attended Wide Hollow Elementary and graduated from West Valley High School. She met the love of her life, Jim Roberts, in 1972, and they’ve been together ever since. He was her favorite person in the world.
Teresa worked for 30 years for the City of Yakima, as a word processor. That job description doesn’t really do her justice. She was a creative and talented writer and an excellent editor.
Teresa brought the fun to every gathering and family event. She was the one to bring the confetti frosting and sparkly gift wrap. She could tell a story in a way that left everyone crying with laughter. She was also a great listener and could always say the right thing to make someone feel better. She was always ready for a group camping trip or a family card game.
Teresa’s kindness, generosity, and warmth was a gift to those close to her. She loved to cook for people and was an excellent cook. She loved to make crafts and sew for those she loved and was very creative. She loved animals and was happy to spoil all pets, not just her own.
She is survived by the love of her life and husband, Jim Roberts, her daughter, Heather Farren (Jason Wood), her mother, Maxine Farren, and her sister, Jennifer Farren, as well as her stephchildren, Salisa Roberts and Matt Roberts.
