Willema Joy Gifford-Miller Obituary (1962

Willema Gifford-Miller, surrounded by loved ones, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Yakima, WA. She was born on April 5, 1962 in Browning, MT. Willema was a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, niece, friend, survivor, provider and inspiration. She went toe to toe with breast cancer for more than a decade, never allowing her illness to stop her from what she wanted to do and more impressive, her faith in Christ never wavered during her fight. She was the persona of strength and a continuous inspiration to her family and friends. Willema touched lives for the better; her generosity, selflessness and genuine love she had for people will forever be ingrained in the hearts of those she came in contact with. She will be missed and forever loved. Willema was preceded in death by her father Simon Ramirez. She is survived by her husband Donald Miller, her mother Bonnie Ramirez, her brother Simon Ramirez Jr., her children Zacery Gifford and Micca Brandt (Ryan Brandt), her step-children Dustin Miller (Hayley Miller) and Sarah Knecht (Danny Knecht), her grandchildren Jasper and Oliver Knecht and Elizabeth and Evelyn Miller. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Shaw & Sons Funeral Directors in Yakima. Funeral service will be held at 10 A.M Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Shaw & Sons.
