Administrative Assistant

Mara was born in Yakima, Washington. She married her husband, Javier “Jr.,” in 2022, who also works for the company, helping bring loved ones into our care. Mara is a devoted mother to her daughter, Avayah, and is excitedly expecting a baby boy. She graduated from Wapato High School and earned her Associate of Arts degree in Business Technology, focusing on Administrative Office Assistance. Mara joined Shaw & Sons Funeral Home in July of 2025, where she helps with administrative tasks and prepares obituaries and memorial slideshows, making sure every life is honored with care and attention. Mara is often the first-person families encounter, offering a comforting and professional welcome. Outside of work, Mara loves spending time with her family, attending Calvary Chapel Toppenish, and sharing meals and laughter with friends. She enjoys creating special memories with her children and finding joy in the little moments of everyday life.
