Funeral Director
Rhea is a licensed Funeral Director who approaches funeral service as both a profession and a ministry. She is married, the proud mother of four daughters, and a grandmother to two grandchildren. Family, faith, and service are at the heart of everything she does. Raised in Sunnyside, Washington, Rhea graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1983. After raising her family and becoming an empty nester, she felt a clear calling into funeral service—a calling rooted in compassion and a desire to walk alongside others during life’s most difficult moments. Stepping out in faith, Rhea enrolled at Yakima Community College to obtain the education needed to become a Funeral Director. She was hired at Shaw and Sons in 2021 and became licensed in 2022. In 2025, she transferred to Brookside, where she continues to serve families with care, dignity, and respect. For Rhea, funeral service is more than a career—it is a ministry. She finds deep purpose in helping families navigate grief and loss, offering comfort, guidance, and compassionate support during some of their toughest days.
